2013-2017 Honda Accord - Quick Release Front License Plate Bracket Big Mike’s Performance Parts’ STO N SHO ™ is an aftermarket quick release front license plate bracket that is designed for those cars whose appearance would be ruined by use of the factory mounting location. Front plates are getting old. States that issue 2 plates just use it as a reason kinda like a busted taillight. Ive used no front plate in NY for the past say 8 years and never had any front plate issues. Not sure if the SC uses the same bracket but ide send you mine if it would beat the price of buying new.

I know it'll be cheaper to install it myself, but I'm afraid to damage the front bumper since I have to drill holes to attach the bracket. If a dealership does it they'll know exactly how to do it since they do it all the time.

It's Honda that I'd be dealing with. I know they're expensive, but would a bracket installation really be that bad through them?

R/Honda: Honda & Acura enthusiasts. If your car has a front tow hook cover in the bumper cover plastic (I think your car should have one on the passenger side), there are license plate bracket kits that utilize that hole to mount your place. Go to the dealership and purchase a license plate holder. There should be instructions as to the installation. You will need to drill 3 holes,denoted by dimples, in the bumper.

I've seen people ruin their bumpers and also drill right through the AC condenser trying to mount a front license plate. You would be better off just putting the license plate in the trunk and driving with out it mounted!

Get a body shop to do it, it will be cheaper, just make sure it is centred as opposed to the far left or right, rice boy.

It's not called a bumper, but a fascia. Look for small dimples in it where the bracket is supposed to go. The dimples are where you are supposed to drill the holes. Most car fascias have them.

They gave me a slip of paper that says 30 day temporary marker receipt and a paper tag. I paid for the tax and tag so I assume they are handling this. • New alternator doesn't fit or it really hard to get in to the bracket, what should I do? I have a Honda Passport 1998, and I replace the alternator for it. I did check the new one and the old one, they are just the same. The problem is when I install new one, it hard to get in to the bracket even I try to wiggle and hammer it by wooden block. Should I grind the new alternator? Or is there any good solution for it?
