Suikoden 1 and 2 save transfer PSP?
With the PS1, Suikoden 2 benefits from transfering over the save file from the first game. Using the eboots on PSP, is there a way to do this?
*Basically, I'm just trying to figure out a good way to get a Suikoden 1 save file to the right format and location to work with Suikoden 2, and I'm not sure the best way to go about it. I see some saves out there in DexDrive .gme format, if there's a way to convert that over and import it into the Suikoden 2 save data.
Any help is greatly welcomed.
Solution: For future reference, in case anyone else wants to import a PS1 Suikoden I save to be used with the Suikoden II eboot on PSP, here's what I did.
I ended up using SailorCallie's save file from gamfaqs, which is in the DexDrive .gme format.
Then, using Shendo's MemcardRex, I opened that save file and saved it as SLUS_00292-0.mcr to convert it to the ePSXe save format with the game's title id.
Then I put the CWCheat plugin onto the PSP memory card, created a folder in the cwcheat directory called mc (ms0:/seplugins/cwcheat/mc), and placed the .mcr save file into the mc directory.
I loaded up Suikoden I, held select to bring up the CWCheat menu, and opened the memory manager. There, you can load the .mcr save file. Make sure it says 'ok'. If not, you probably named the file wrong. I started up Suikoden I using that save file, saved the game normally to save it in the PSP .vmp save format and exited the game.
Then, I opened Suikoden II. Using /u/sbourwest's information below, I pressed the PS home button within Suikoden II, opened memory card utility, import, select the Suikoden file that visually shows it has save data. Start a new game, name your character, select yes to use Suikoden I save file.
And it works!
FAQ: Suikoden and Suikoden II save file transfer intsructions.
Q: I have both games on my PS3, can I load my save data into Suikoden II from Suikoden? How? Download novel erotis terjemahan indonesia pdf.
A: Yes. The system works almost exactly like it does on the PS1. The virtual memory cards can be accessed and created on the XMB main menu, and in-game it will function the same.
Q: I have both games on my Vita, how can I load the save data into Suikoden II? Cimco edit v7 crack.
A: This is reasonably easy. But, you do have to jump through some more hoops to get it to work. When a PSone classic is downloaded, the Vita automatically creates two memory cards for it and it alone. So, we have to do some save-shuffling and copying.
- Once you have the save data from Gregminster, and have finished the game, start up Suikoden II.
- When the game starts, hold down the PS button to reach the menu and select 'Settings.'
- Select 'Memory Card Utility.'
- Select 'Import.'
- This displays Suikoden II's two memory cards. Hit the left or right arrows to scroll through memory cards for other PSone Classics already on your Vita, and you should see Suikoden come up.
- With Suikoden's memory card containing the end-game Gregminster file selected, you can copy over the whole card containing all your files by selecting it and using the chevron.
- Now, Suikoden II (card 1) will be a copy of the Suikoden card.
- Return to the game, and load the save file when prompted after you enter the hero's name.
Q: I have one game on Vita, and another on my PS3. How can I transfer the data?
A: This is easy. Start up both systems and either connect them via USB, or via WiFi. You will need to 'pair' your Vita with your PS3. For more info, see PlayStation's walkthrough: https://support.us.playstation.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3815/~/ps-vita-and-ps3-remote-play-guide
Once you have paired the two systems, here is how to move the save files from your PS3 to your Vita:
- On the Vita's main menu, start the Content Manager.
- Select 'Copy Content.'
- If you are connected via USB or WiFi, the two will connect.
- Select 'Copy Content: PS3 > Vita'
- Select 'Applications.'
- Then 'Saved Data: PlayStation.'
- Select 'Internal Memory Card (PSX).' Note that there could be any number of these, as this is a representation of all the Virtual Memory Cards on the PS3. You might have to sift through them manually to find the individual files.
- When you find the file you want, select it. Then, select 'Copy.'
- This screen lists all the Virtual memory cards on the Vita, two for each PSone Classic. Select either Suikoden II (1) or Suikoden II (2). Then hit 'OK.'
- Start up Suikoden II and it should work like exactly like the PSX once you are in-game.
Once you have paired the two systems, here is how to move the save files from your Vita to PS3:
- After Step 3 above, Select 'Copy Content: Vita > PS3.'
- Select 'Applications.'
- Select 'Saved Data: PlayStation.'
- Scroll through the long list of memory cards for all your PSone Classics until you find the file you want to transfer. Select 'Copy.'
- This displays all the PS3's Virtual Memory Cards. Select one of them, and then 'OK.'
- The data should now be transferred to the PS3.
Q: I have one game in Digital Format on the PSN, and another in Physical that I play on my PS1/PS2. How can I load those?
A: You will have to buy a Sony Memory Card Adapter for PS3. This is a specialized tool that allows the PS1 and PS2 'Magic Gate' memory cards to plug into the PS3 via its USB port. I got mine for about $25 USD at a local game shop, but there are third-party units that might be a bit cheaper. This is the only way that I know of to transfer files from older memory cards to the PS3. As far as I know, there is no way to transfer files between the PS Vita and older memory cards. Sorry.
Q: I wish to load my PSN Suikoden II's data onto my Physical copy of Suikoden III (PS2). How can I do that?
A: See the above answer, though it works in reverse order.

When playing a physical copy of Suikoden on an actual PlayStation console, upon completing the game and your data is saved to a physical memory card, the data can be loaded into a Suikoden II game. This gave you certain bonuses such as: • Starting Levels • Starting weapon Levels • Starting Equipment • Dialog Changes This can be done with the RGR Plugin. You'll need to rename your save files located in your RGR Plugin Data folder. The file path for that is:
Windows XP - C:Documents and SettingsAll UsersApplication DataVizzedVizzedRgrPluginUser-*****Mednafen_newsav Or go to: Start Menu > All Programs > Vizzed Retro Game Room > Open Plugin Data Folder > User-***** > Mednafen_new > sav ( You'd rename the save file 'Suikoden (USA) (v1.1)'. You'll see 2 files: • Suikoden (USA) (v1.1).4419082bad861064c26bfb0dec67aa6c.0.mcr • Suikoden (USA) (v1.1).4419082bad861064c26bfb0dec67aa6c.1.mcr Rename those to: • Suikoden II.6fd9638ea372b47aa9a776ea8c528a2f.0.mcr • Suikoden II.6fd9638ea372b47aa9a776ea8c528a2f.1.mcr (if you already have suikoden II save files, you'll have to either |

tRIUNEInti illimani grandes exitos descargar mega. : Just so you're aware, I don't think the starting levels, weapon levels and equipment are effected by transferring saved data. To the best of my knowledge (I've played and beat the game several different times) you can get different bonuses: -Arriving in Banner Village shows Gremio and McDohl fishing on the far right side. McDohl becomes an available character after one of the Banner Village children are kidnapped and taken into the forest. This is only happens after you've reached Toran to forge an alliance and have recruited either Valeria or Kasumi. -Dialogue Changes throughout the game. These are generally in reference to McDohl and whether or not he is in your party. - Possible changes at the end of the game when you see where characters end up after the game ends. I have not seen any changes in Starting Level / Weapon Levels or Starting Equipment with transferred data. Please keep in mind that what I'm stating here is in reference to the actual physical copy of the Play Station games and these discs played on my Play Station 2. I've played the game with and without transferred data. I'm unaware of any other major changes but I do like to use McDohl because he's extremely powerful and he has a great unite with the main character of Suikoden 2. I don't recall if I referenced any of this in my Game Guide. |

Fireproof : I haven't completed Suikoden yet (although I've been meaning to if I ever have the time to; I first played it about 11 years ago through a rental from a local video rental store. That being said, I have no personal experience of transferring the data, but I knew that it could be done so I looked it up and found the info about the bonuses on this page: //www.suikosource.com/games/gs2/guides/bonuses.php I can take your word for it as I did theirs. |

Suikoden 1 Characters Rune
tRIUNE : Ohhhh I see now. Suikosource is a pretty impressive resource to use for information on Suikoden and it's a great place to discover a number of unknown things. I never actually saw the page you found your information from and if it's in Suikosource, it's legitimate. If you play Suikoden 1 and complete the game without Gremio and transfer the data, you will not find Gremio and McDohl in Banner Village, instead it's pretty much empty. I knew that without the 100% version of the data, you were not getting anything special other than McDohl to appear and become a character after a certain point in the game. With that in mind, I never noticed the increase in character level on Suikoden 2 because it's near impossible to level up characters after a certain level, which makes it difficult to increase levels because earned Exp drops to 5 gained. I never noticed transferred runes or increase of weapon level either. For the most part, I've used many of the same characters to complete the game in 1 (Some are mandatory). With that said, their levels generally reached 60 before I slayed the final boss. I did learn of a trick on Suikoden 1 where you can earn a massive amount of experience and boost some characters up to 60 levels. This was found through Suikosource (Very dedicated gamers). It requires you to take on 6 enemies in Moravia Castle I believe with just the main character and any character less than level 36. This gives you the maximum possible Experience so you earn many levels. Characters obtained at higher than level 35 earn less exp which could get them to level 80+ and you would need to continue to grind out experience to get to level 99. You can play Jasper's Chinchinorin (3 Dice Cup Game) for unlimited money with a party with high luck! This is the best way to get the money you need to upgrade all weapons you like. You could fight enemies, which you might anyway but this is potentially the fastest method, especially if characters are already in the 90s. Great post tho tRIUNE. I recommend you play and finish the game, it's worth it! |
